Art, Apps and Acrobats: A Roundup of This Weekend's Events

This weekend’s forecast is looking pretty good! Expect warmer and humid conditions throughout the weekend. There is a small chance of rain, but not enough to put a damper on your weekend plans.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival

The annual three-day outdoor event will feature over 360 artists who are ready to showcase their talent. Guests will also get to try some delicious food and watch some chef led demonstrations and tastings. There will also be a family fun zone for the kids with live music each day. The Citadel Opens its Doors

Food lovers, rejoice! The Citadell is South Florida’s newest food hall. The market located on the Miami river will feature local artisanal foods, handcrafted cocktails and much more. This weekend’s grand opening will be a celebration with local DJs, kids activities and dance workshops on Saturday and drink specials for brunch on Sunday. Click here for more information.

Cirque Italia

The first traveling Italian water circus is coming to town. Contortionists, mermaids, a laser man and the wheel of death will all be under the big top tent in North Miami. The circus features a 35,000 gallon water stage, which the performers center their acts around. The circus has a no animal policy, and focuses on testing the limits of human capabilities. Miami International Boat Show

If you’re in the market for a boat … or not, it’s a great way to get out of the house and see some of the best boats on the market. The event runs through Monday at the Miami Marine Stadium. For more information, click here.

Gay8 Festival

The largest Hispanic and Latino LGBTQ festival in America is on Calle Ocho this weekend. Have fun, enjoy themed dance parties and celebrate love and equality. The event takes place Sunday. More information can be found here.

III Points
