A man who lives at a Miami-Dade assisted living facility brutally beat and raped a female employee, authorities said.
Eric Leroy Fields, 47, is charged with sexual battery with a deadly weapon causing serious injury and kidnapping following his arrest Tuesday night, according to a Miami-Dade Police arrest report.
Fields was being held without bond Wednesday, Miami-Dade jail records showed. No attorney information was listed.
According to the report, Fields approached the victim from behind and shoved her into a washing machine. He punched her in the face multiple times and she fell to the floor unconscious, the report said.
The woman woke up naked in Fields' room as he was raping her, the report said. When Fields noticed she was awake, he punched her in the face and head until she became dizzy and disoriented, the report said.
Afraid she would be beaten more, and aware no one else was around, the victim didn't physically resist Fields, the report said. But when she heard someone return to the home she called for help and a witness called police.
The victim was hospitalized with multiple injuries. Fields admitted to raping the woman and beating her face, the report said.
