At Least Five Passengers Treated For Breathing Problems After Unknown Odor on Fort Lauderdale Flight

At least five people on a flight bound for Fort Lauderdale were treated for breathing problems after an unknown odor was detected on the aircraft, the Oklahoma City Fire Department said.

The JetBlue flight -- which left from Long Beach, California -- was dispatched to Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City following reports of an odor in the cabin. The flight landed in Oklahoma City at around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Emergency medical crews and the fire department responded to affected passengers. A spokesperson for JetBlue said customers on the flight would be accommodated on another aircraft.

It is currently unknown what the odor was or where it stemmed from. No further information was immediately available.
