Atlanta Police to Host Recruiting Event in Miramar

The Atlanta Police Department will host a recruitment event for new officers in Miramar next week.

The event will be held on Friday, Feb. 19th and Saturday, Feb. 20th at 9 a.m. on both days at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 14501 Hotel Road in Miramar.

Interviews and testing are slated to begin promptly at 9 a.m. Applicants must bring a valid copy of your current state driver's license in order to attend the recruitment event. Potential recruits should anticipate being there at least six hours, as an exam will be given.

In lieu of the post entrance exam, Atlanta PD will accept CPE, ACT, SAT, COMPASS or Asset scores which meet the minimum score requirements as outlined on their website. Applicants must have original test documentation of their scores.

If you've previously taken and passed the Georgia Post Entrance Exam, you can provide a copy of the test results.

While the following documents aren't required for next week's event, they will be required within 10 days of taking the written exam:

  • A copy of your High School Diploma, Certified High School Transcripts, or G.E.D. Certificate
  • A copy of your original Social Security Card
  • A copy of your Birth Certificate - from the Bureau of Vital Statistics
  • A copy of your current valid State Driver's License
  • Two (2) passport style photographs
  • And original copy of your Driver's Record, including the past seven (7) years history transcript from the Department of Motor Vehicles in EVERY state in which you have EVER held a valid Driver's License
