For holiday shoppers seeking early Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving Day, Aventura Mall is not the place to go.
The Miami mall announced Tuesday that stores will be closed on Thanksgiving to give retailers and employees the opportunity to spend the holiday with family and friends.
"Thanksgiving is a family holiday, and we’re pleased to provide our retailers with the opportunity to give their employees this special day off," said mall owner and manager Jackie Soffer in a press release.
Although the mall will be closed on the holiday, hours for the AMC movie theater vary for those looking to catch a Thanksgiving Day flick. Departments store hours also vary.
Stores will reopen on Friday, Nov. 25 at 7 a.m. just in time for the mayhem of Black Friday shopping.
