Miami Beach Police are investigating the death of a baby.
911 received a call around 5:45 p.m. Friday from a couple who lives on a boat in the area and noticed their 17-month-old was missing.
The Coast Guard, Miami Beach Marine Patrol, Miami-Dade Fire Boat and City of Miami Fire Boat were dispatched to the scene.
Police said the baby was located in the water between Palm and Star Island, and then transported to Jackson Memorial Trauma where he was pronounced dead.
No further details have been released.
