The Miami MetroZoo's newest baby is enjoying life inside the Miami animal mecca, except for those first shots.
The 14 pound Dama Gazelle was born Sunday, and this morning she had her first painful checkup.
The tiny endangered baby, a native of Saudi Arabia, let out a scream after MetroZoo staff veterinarian Dr. Frank Ridgley gave her her first shots.
But she quickly got over it and rejoined her mother, and both are doing very well.
