A scene involving a man who reportedly barricaded himself inside a car that caused the closure of several streets in one Northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood has come to an end.

Officers responded to the area around NW 64th Street and 25th Avenue shortly after 8 a.m. after the man reportedly threatened to harm himself.

Police blocked off several streets in all directions near the scene – from 62nd to 65th Street and 25th to 27th Avenue – but said no schools were placed on lockdown.

Shortly before 11:45 a.m., Miami-Dade Police said the man was taken into custody - where he will possibly undergo an evaluation - and all streets were reopened.
