Authorities are investigating after a body was found floating in a Fort Lauderdale waterway Monday morning.
The discovery was made in the New River in the 1700 block of Southwest 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale Police said.
A dive team was called to the scene to remove the body after the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No foul play is suspected and the man's identification will not be released until next-of-kin notification is made, police said.
The incident is still being investigated.
