Police say a man's body was found floating in a Fort Lauderdale canal Saturday.
Fort Lauderdale Police received a call Saturday morning about a possible body floating in the South Fork Middle River canal. Officers responded to the scene located near the 2300 block of NE 26th Street and located the body.
The body was later identified as 38-year-old Timothy Odell Smith. Detectives don't believe foul play played a role in Smith's death.
