Authorities are investigating after a body was found floating in a canal in Pompano Beach Tuesday morning.
The body was found by a passerby in the 2700 block of S. Palm Aire Drive, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
According to the medical examiner's office, the body is an elderly man. There was no apparent trauma and the death doesn't appear to be suspicious.
Investigators haven't said how the man ended up in the canal but the medical examiner's office said he was found wearing exercise clothes.
The exact cause of death hasn't been determined.
