Miami Police say a suspicious package found near Biscayne Boulevard Wednesday morning has been deemed safe.
Officers responded to the area of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 3rd Street and found what appeared to be a suitcase near a pole, Miami Police officials said.
Several officers, a bomb squad and fire rescue crews responded to the scene before it was deemed safe.
Biscayne Boulevard southbound from 5th Street had been closed but later reopened.
