Bomb Threat Under Investigation at Miami-Dade Fire Station

Miami Shores Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a reported bomb threat at Northeast 2nd Avenue at 95th Street Thursday afternoon.

Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area until the all-clear was given, which wasn't expected for at least two hours.

According to police, a bag with possible hazardous material was brought to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue station at 9500 Northeast 2nd Avenue. The MDFR Hazmat crew responded to the scene to determine whether the material was a danger to the public.

Northeast 2nd Avenue was closed from 94th Street to Northeast 95th Street, and 95th Street was closed to North Miami Avenue.
