Boy, 2, Injured in Central Florida Go-Cart Crash

Police say a 2-year-old central Florida boy suffered serious head injuries when he was thrown from a go-cart as his 13-year-old sister tried to make a U-turn.

The child struck his head on the pavement and was flown by helicopter to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg on Monday night. Police say his injures are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Bradenton Herald reports the father was supervising the children when the accident occurred.

The names of the boy, his sister and their father were not released.

No further details were immediately available.
