Firefighters were able to quickly knock down a large brush fire in Plantation Monday.
The fire broke out in a wooded area off Sunrise Boulevard and Hiatus Road, not too far away from some homes.
Footage showed flames and billowing smoke coming from the area.
Plantation Fire officials said they were able to mostly put the fire out but were still mopping up some hot spots.
No homes were in danger and no injuries were reported, officials said.
No other information was immediately known.
