Lockdown Lifted After BSO Bomb Squad Responds to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport

A lockdown has been lifted at the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport after a bomb squad responded to a suspicious package.

Traffic has resumed in the area and vehicles are now driving into the airport terminals.

Broward County Sheriff's Office deputies and the bomb squad were operating outside of FLL's Terminal 4 Sunday night.

"Our deputies have deemed the package safe, and issued an all-clear," BSO said in a statement.

"FLL has resumed normal activities and the roadways have reopened. Expect flight delays and check with ... your airlines for the latest flight information. We appreciate your patience," FLL said in a statement.
