Burglary at Wilton Manors Coin Laundry Facility Caught on Camera

Police are searching for a man caught on camera allegedly burglarizing a coin laundry facility in Wilton Manors.

It happened around 5 a.m. Monday at Bubbles Laundry located at 2605 North Andrews Avenue.

When officers arrived, they observed ceiling tiles leading from the main portion of the business into the locked office area, broken and on the floor. The business was checked and it was determined the suspect had already fled.

Detectives were able to obtain surveillance video from the business. The suspect can be seen walking back and forth in the business for more than 30 minutes with plastic containers trying to figure out how to get high enough to climb over the wall and into the locked office.

Police said one of the attempts caused him to slip and fall as he was climbing up. He continued to rig up different items until he was finally able to get up and over into the locked office. Police said the man looked around the office for money, found a cash box, but didn't leave with anything of value.

As the suspect made his way back out of the office through the ceiling tiles, he fell and got tangled up in some wires. The suspect is then seen running from the business.

He's described as a black male who was wearing a brown shirt and possibly brown pants. He has what appears to be either a scar or tattoo on his right cheek.

Anyone with information on this crime or the man involved is urged to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
