California Man Wanted for Child Sex Abuse Arrested in Key West: Sheriff

A California man wanted for allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old has been arrested in the Florida Keys, authorities said.

Jason David Adams, 39, was taken into custody Thursday morning after the FBI alerted the Monroe County Sheriff's Office that he may be living in the Keys, officials said.

Authorities said Adams fled a warrant issued in Sacramento, California, on April 19 for sexually abusing a child. Deputies found him at a construction site and he was taken into custody without incident.

Adams, who had been living on Big Pine Key, remained in jail Thursday without bond. He will be returned to California to face the charges, officials said.
