Two people from the Tampa area were killed Sunday afternoon after their vehicle veered into a canal along Alligator Alley in Broward County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the 2003 Ford Expedition, driven by 42-year-old Kevin Livingston, suffered a blown tire and went into the canal near mile marker 32 just before 12:30 p.m.
Both Livingston and his passenger, 35-year-old Michele Livingston, died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
