3 Hurt After Car Crashes Inside Hallandale Beach Nail Salon

A vehicle plowed into a Hallandale Beach nail salon Monday leaving three people injured, officials said.

Chopper 6 flew was over the scene, where a silver Toyota Corolla was seen inside the salon at 2500 E. Hallandale Beach Boulevard. The entire storefront was demolished, and tables and workers inside were pushed against a wall.

Thirteen people were inside the salon when the car came barreling inside. The owner was able to rush everyone out of the salon's back door.

"Everybody was in complete shock. There was kids sitting on the side. People were doing their nails," said Ines Rodriguez, who works in the adjacent building.

Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue officials said one person who was inside the salon was taken to the hospital and later released. Two others were treated at the scene.

The driver of the car wasn't injured. According to witnesses said the driver mistook the gas for the break, but police have not confirm those details.

This was not the first time a car barreled into a business in the strip plaza. In 2014, another car smashed into the Padrino's Cuba restaurant.
