Multiple crews are responding after a car slammed into a Subway restaurant in Deerfield Beach Friday morning.
Rescue crews with the Broward Sheriff's Office report that an elderly driver hit the gas instead of the brake and plowed into a Subway restaurant at 261 S. Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach.
The accident happened just after 11 a.m. Friday.
Fire Rescue crews are calling in the building inspector to assess the damage.
It is unknown if there were customers and employees inside the Subway at the time of the accident. The extent of the driver's injuries were not immediately known.
