Casual Crook Pulls Off Bank Heist in Hialeah

When we think of bank robberies, we think of a chaotic and violent scene.

That was not the case Wednesday at the Bank of America located on Hialeah Drive.

Surveillance cameras captured a man, wearing a cap with the word "New York" embroidered on the front, nonchalantly demanding cash.

The man walked into the bank with only a pair of shades and the cap concealing his identity.

The FBI said the robber asked a teller for cash and then walked out.

Authorities did not say if he was armed.

There were customers in the bank at the time of the heist.

Federal agents said they will not release the amount of money stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
