Central Florida Woman Sentenced to 25 Years in Prision For Stabbing, Killing Live-In Boyfriend

A central Florida woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing her boyfriend.

The Lakeland Ledger reports that 42-year-old Natasha Turner was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

Lakeland police report that officers found 63-year-old Ronnie Barnes dead in an apartment he shared with Turner in March 2012. Barnes had been stabbed in the head, neck, arms and hands.

Turner told police she had found the body. A report says furniture was askew, a couch was soaked in blood and a bloodied knife was found with Turner's clothing and belongings in a closet.

Turner previously had been acquitted of slashing Barnes with a kitchen knife.
