A driver was injured after a van crashed into the front of a home in Lauderhill Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened in the 500 block of Northwest 33rd Avenue, Lauderhill Fire officials said.
Officials said the driver of the van ran over at least one light pole before crashing into the home. The man was trapped and had to be helped out of the van. He was taken to Broward General Medical Center in serious condition but was expected to be released later Tuesday, officials said.
A mother and two kids were inside the home at the time. Officials initially said a child who was inside was injured but later said the injuries were minor.
Police said the driver, whose name wasn't released, will likely be charged with failure to maintain control of his vehicle and careless driving.
