11-Year-Old Boy Airlifted to the Hospital After Getting Hit By Car in Hialeah

A 11-year-old boy suffered a head injury Wednesday after getting hit by a car in Hialeah.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. near the Milam K-8 Center on West 59th Street and 16th Avenue.

The boy suffered a head injury and abrasions to his legs. The child was awake and alert as he was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition, Hialeah Fire Rescue said. 

While he did not sustain any internal injuries, he is being kept in the hospital over observation due to his other injuries.
