A 12-year-old boy has died after he was found at the bottom of a canal in southwest Miami-Dade Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened at Southwest 127th Place and 204th Lane.
According to officials, divers pulled the child from the bottom of a canal and he was taken by air rescue to the hospital, where he was in critical condition.
Miami-Dade Police confirmed the boy was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time after arriving.
The medical examiner will determine the boy's cause of death.
