Clerk Checked With Manager Before Handing Robber Cash: BSO

A Pompano Beach store clerk who was robbed at gunpoint told the gunman she had to check with her manager before she could hand the money over.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the young clerk was working at the CVS at 850 W. Sample Road on Dec. 7 when the armed man demanded cash.


After she told the suspect she had to check first, the thief waited for the manager to come back and assist with getting the cash out of the register.

The thief, who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, baggy shorts and a dark ball cap, walked away with hundreds of dollars, the BSO said.

The incident was captured on the store's surveillance system.
