Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Coast Guard and local police continue their search Saturday morning for a missing 22-year-old boater.
Officials said 22-year-old Tyron Robinson was on a 17-foot rental boat about 500 yards north of Belle Island when he entered the water and failed to resurface. Robertson's girlfriend reported him missing after they couldn't find him.
"There were two girls out here and they were crying and I guess he fell off the boat or something or was swimming and just disappeared and I don't know what happened," said Jerry Price, witness.
The owner of the orange rental boat arrived Saturday morning to pick up the boat, who he says Robinson was on at the time he went missing with two others
Coast Guard Station Miami Beach sent a 33-foot rescue boat and launched a helicopter to search for Robertson. Miami Beach Police, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and City of Miami Fire were assisting in the search.
The public is asked to be on the look out and to contact the Coast Guard with any details on Robinson's location.
