Two Boaters Missing After Capsized Vessel Found: Coast Guard

A third boater was found and rescued in the waters of Biscayne Bay

Rescue crews with the Coast Guard say they are currently searching for two missing boaters whose vessel capsized during a storm on Friday.

Chopper 6 captured what remained of the boat as it washed onto Haulover inlet Monday morning.

According to the Coast Guard, the 23-foot vessel departed from the Caribbean Club in Key Largo on Thursday with three passengers on board.

It was reported overdue by Florida Fish and Wildlife Sunday afternoon.

Later that evening, one boater was found and rescued in the waters of Biscayne Bay.

The survivor told Coast Guard that he swam for help while the other two boaters stayed with the capsized boat.

The Coast Guard continued the search through Monday night.

Sources tell NBC 6 the boaters are originally from Naples.

No information on the survivor's condition has been released.
