A Coconut Creek father is out of jail after police say he took his 4-year-old son to a bar, drank for three hours then got into a bar fight.
Police say 26-year-old William Stone took his toddler son into Johnny O'Brian's Irish Pub in Coconut Creek and drank for three hours with a friend.
According to a police report, the toddler was running around the bar while Stone drank with a friend.
Another customer confronted Stone about having the child in the bar and the men got into a fight, police say.
Another patron had to shield the 4-year-old while the men fought for close to 30 minutes, the report says.
Stone was arrested and charged with child neglect. He will be released on is own recognizance and will have an alcohol monitoring bracelet while the Florida Department of Children and Families investigates.
Police say Stone is married and has a 2-year-old daughter in addition to the son he brought to the bar.
