A Colombian soccer player is out of jail after being arrested on a battery charge involving the mother of his children at a Miami Beach hotel.

Pablo Armero was arrested Tuesday. He posted a $1,500 bond and a June 28 hearing was set. Court records show he's not supposed to have contact with the woman.

A police affidavit says Armero used hair clippers to forcefully trim her hair. Police arrived after getting several calls from the Metropolitan Hotel.

The affidavit says Armero also pulled out the woman's hair extensions. She told police the incident happened after she refused to have sex with him. He says she asked him to cut her hair.

Armero was on Colombia's 2014 World Cup roster. Jail records don't say whether he has a lawyer.
