Miami Police located a missing pickup truck belonging to a Miami-Dade County district commissioner, over a week after it was stolen.
The truck was found Friday afternoon obstructing a sidewalk along Northwest 23rd Street and 11th Avenue.
District 11 Commissioner Joe A. Martinez wrote on Facebook that much of the equipment in the vehicle was stolen and the paint was completely damaged.
"It is unfortunate that much of the equipment in the vehicle was stripped off and the paint completely damaged, but staff is thankful that the 'people’s' truck was found," Martinez wrote.
The truck was reported missing the night of July 27.
Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
