Cops: Pyro Set Puppy on Fire

Woman busted for setting dog ablaze

A poor puppy became the victim of a sick pyro yesterday when a woman, angry at her boyfriend, set the 4-month-old dog on fire.

Rachelee Soto is behind bars in Kissimmee after she badly burned the little pit bull on his paws, stomach, ears and face.

Soto's boyfriend said he was at work when he got a call from his son saying Soto was setting the pup on fire. The boyfriend said Soto was angry with him and was taking it out on the puppy and house.

But Soto, 31, said it was all a misunderstanding, claiming she was smoking a cigarette in the garage which likely fell onto some motor oil which began the blaze.

Cops weren't buying her tale and they busted her and charged her with animal cruelty. She got an additional charge of resisting arrest for her lack of cooperation.

The puppy was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment for its burns. Soto was booked into Osceola County Jail.
