Coral Springs High School was placed on a code red lockdown after a suspicious incident was reported Friday afternoon.
Police said officers responded to the school on W. Sample Road for a "possible suspicious incident."
Officials said the lockdown began after school security saw a student who was initially thought to be a suspicious person.
Contact was made with the student and it was determined no one was in danger, and the lockdown was lifted, officials said.
