Coral Springs Police Officer Rushed to Hospital After Incident During Training

A Coral Springs Police officer was rushed to the hospital after he fell from a building during a training exercise Wednesday morning.

Police officials confirmed the incident took place at the Coral Springs Fire Academy shortly before 10 a.m., saying a member of the SWAT unit was hurt after he fell from a building.

There was no word on how high the officer was when he fell.

Coral Springs Fire officials said the officer was airlifted to Broward Health North, where he was listed in serious condition but was conscious and alert.

The identity of the officer has not been released.
