‘A Special Young Man': Cornell University Freshman From South Florida Found Dead

Police say the circumstances around the teen's death are under investigation, but no foul play is suspected

Police have recovered the body of a South Florida teenager who went missing during his freshman year at Cornell University in New York.

According to university police, the body of 18-year-old Antonio Tsialas was recovered from Fall Creek by Ithaca Falls Saturday night.

Tsialas was reported missing by family on Friday, police say. He was last seen Thursday night at an on-campus event.

Police say the circumstances around the teen's death are under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.

Tsialas graduated from Ransom Everglades School in Coconut Grove this year.

“He was truly a special young man, and we are deeply saddened by the loss of Antonio,” the school said in a statement.
