Couple Tied Up During Armed Home Invasion in Hialeah

Police are searching for an armed robber who tied up a couple and ransacked their house during an home invasion in Hialeah early Friday morning.

The victims were sleeping when they heard a loud noise at the front door of their home in the 700 block of Southeast 6th Place around 2:15 a.m., Hialeah police officials said.

When they woke up, the couple found the armed man inside their home. The robber pointed a gun at them while demanding money and jewelry, police said.

The suspect tied up the couple with plastic zip ties, took their jewelry and then ransacked the home before fleeing.
