24 Units Burned in Fire at Coral Springs Condo Building

Dozens of residents were displaced after a large fire swept through a condominium building in Coral Springs Monday.

The fire broke out at the Ramblewood East Condos at 8740 Northwest 40th Street.

Officials said the fire caused damage to 24 units, displacing dozens of residents.

"It's just shocking to come home and find this," resident Patricia Esper said.

No injuries were reported but two cats were killed, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Maria Smith, who lives in the building, said someone has been setting doors on fire recently.

"There have been some small fires her over the last couple of weeks, none of them have been officially determined to be arson at this point," Coral Springs Fire Chief Mike Moser said. "Obviously we will look into that, that is quite a very serious allegation and if that is the case, obviously our police department and investigators will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law."
