Dangerous Conditions Expected for Boaters & Beachgoers

With strong easterly winds gusting over 25 mph for the next few days, dangerous conditions are expected for South Florida boaters and beachgoers.

There is a high risk for rip currents which means nobody should swim in any Atlantic-facing waters where there isn’t a lifeguard.

For boaters, the strong winds will make waters choppy both on the Atlantic and on The Bay.

A Small Craft Advisory will be in effect until Friday morning.

Seas could be as high as nine feet over the next few days and boaters who aren’t experienced are urged to stay off the water unless accompanied by more-experienced boaters.
