“Dangerous Love Connection Crew” Nabbed for Robbery: Broward Sheriff's Office

The 56-year-old victim was robbed after invited a woman he met clubbing home for a drink, authorities said

Detectives arrested a trio of suspects who robbed a man and left him tied up and beaten in a bathroom of his Dania Beach home, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

The suspects – dubbed the “Dangerous Love Connection Crew” by the BSO – were taken into custody separately in the second half of September in connection with the robbery at Eilan Taregan’s home on the 4100 block of Stirling Road early on July 21, the agency said.

The 56-year-old victim went clubbing that hot summer night and met a woman he invited home for a drink. Vanesa Diaz, 21, of Boca Raton was accompanied by Carlos Bariola, 32, of Miami and Alexis Quian, 25, of Boca Raton in her black, late model Toyota Camry, according to the BSO.

Once Taregan believed the man had left, he and Diaz began to drink alcohol – but she then went outside to smoke and left the front door unlocked for her accomplices to come in, the BSO said.

They stormed in and punched and kicked Taregan until he fell, then tied him up and left him in a bathroom while they swiped his money, wallet, jewelry, phone and several watches, according to the BSO.

Bariola was arrested Sept. 18 and faces charges of burglary with assault or battery and violation of probation. Diaz was arrested Sept. 23 and charged with burglary with assault or battery and robbery, and Quian was arrested Sept. 30 and charged with burglary with assault or battery and robbery, the BSO said. It wasn’t immediately known whether they have attorneys.
