‘A Good Man': Daughter, Cops Seek Answers in Miami-Dade Man's Murder

Family members and police are searching for answers after a man was gunned down in his northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood.

Jorge Chacon Arza, 52, was fatally shot in the area of Northwest 87th Street and Northwest 24th Avenue around 8 a.m. Friday, Miami-Dade Police said.

Family members said Chacon Arza had recently been released from jail and was trying to turn his life around. His daughter, Lisset Chacon, said he was doing yard work when he was shot.

"He was such a good man," Chacon said Monday. "He'd make you laugh, he taught me everything I knew."

Chacon said police still need tips on any possible suspects.

"I just need the community to get the word out, and call anything that you know," she said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
