Davie Man Accused of Molesting Teen Model

A Davie man was arrested Thursday on charges he allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl who was working for him.

Davie Police said the victim was a model for Eun Bae Kim’s business, Ceci Collections Ladies Fashions off Sterling Road. The alleged molestation by Kim, 46, started in January and continued for three months.

In March, detectives said the touching escalated when Kim allegedly put his hand in the front of the girl’s pants before she said she swiped his hand away. It was around the same time detectives said the victim told her mother what was happening.

The girl quit working for Kim in March.

In an incident report, Kim denied that he had touched the girl inappropriately. He said the only time he had touched the girl was to address a underwear line that was sticking out of her pants.

“I’ve got four kids my friend,” said Davie Police Captain Dale Engle. “It’s important that we get this out there. A lot of this is happening more and more.”

Police said they are also investigating Kim for alleged voyeurism with another model who is an adult.

“The adult victim was modeling the clothing and the allegation is that he was attempting to videotape her as she was getting changed into the clothing that she was to model,” Engle said.

Business owners said they never would have suspected anything allegedly criminal was going on nearby.

“We have a lot of families that come in here and eat every day,” said business owner Jerry Hickman. “It’s just a comfortable feeling.”

Eun faces two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct.
