Woman Killed in Miami Lakes Hit-And-Run Identified

Police are searching for the person responsible for the hit-and-run death of a Michigan woman whose body was found in a Miami Lakes street early Thursday.

Officers responded to the scene near Fairway Drive and Miami Lakes Drive around 2:30 a.m. after a passerby reported that the woman's body was lying in the road, Miami-Dade Police officials said.

The woman has been identified as 26-year-old Tatum Holloway. Police are investigating the incident as a hit and run.

It's unknown how long her body was on the road. Witnesses said the woman was walking from a McDonald's down the road and had been seen buying food there earlier.

Police said they found the vehicle used in the incident but did not say whether the person involved was in custody.

"Investigators are seeking the assistance from the community in identifying the hit and run driver and/or vehicle," the Miami-Dade Police Department said in a statement.
