Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death early Tuesday morning outside of a car in Miami Gardens - a vehicle that was one of several in the neighborhood to be damaged overnight.
Officers arrived at the scene near Northwest 203rd Street and 36th Court, where the unidentified body was found laying on the ground in front of a home.
Miami Gardens Police said multiple car burglaries took place before the gunshots.
Neighbors said that the car near the victim’s body had a shattered window when officers arrived while some heard as many as five shots being fired.
"This breaks my heart this morning when I heard that," said Mahamad Hasin, who woke up early to eat breakfast with his wife when he heard gunshots and called police. "Made me mad when I heard that people were killing people."
