An overnight wrong way crash in Miami-Dade killed one person and caused major traffic delays on one busy roadway.

Crews responded to the scene in the southbound lanes of I-95 just past NW 62nd Street just after 2 a.m., where a black sedan crashed into a construction vehicle before hitting a concrete wall in the express lanes according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP confirmed that the driver of that car was going the wrong way and was killed in the crash while a construction worker was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center, where their condition is unknown. Officials say both express lanes were closed in the area due to construction at the time of the crash.

All four general purpose lanes remained closed for several hours before two reopened just before 6 a.m.
