EDM rising star DJ Deorro is navigating into uncharted waters with his first collaboration with Grammy winning singer Elvis Crespo.
Their upbeat and catchy new track titled “Bailar” is a Merengue and EDM fusion that aims at getting everyone out on the dance floor this summer.
Deorro who has worked with such EDM super stars such as Diplo and Steve Aoki says his father who was a quinceañera DJ is who inspired him to collaborate with the Merengue star.
“My dad, he’s the one who created so many memories at so many parties and those memories contain Elvis Crespo,” said Deorro. “When I think of Merengue I can’t think of anyone else.”
Deorro’s love for Latin music drove him to study Merengue, he says the way this project came together with Elvis Crespo’s team was a dream come true.
“They reached out with so much love and support and eager to be part of the collaboration, it was an honor,” said Deorro.
This collaboration is the first of its kind for Elvis Crespo who rose to fame in the 90’s while being part of the famed Merengue group, “Grupo Mania” and later as a solo artist where hits like “Suavemente” and “Pinta Me” made him a household name.

Crespo says this new collaboration with a Deorro has given his music a new breath of fresh air.
“I feel blessed because this track gave me the opportunity to reach a new audience, a young audience, “ said Crespo. “
Deorro’s is currently promoting his new album which will include other collaborations such as Chris Brown and drummer Travis Baker from Blink 182.
