A Tampa woman has plenty of thanks for deputies who saved her from a burning building Tuesday night.
When crews responded to the apartment around 9 p.m., most residents had already escaped. However, one person told deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office that they didn’t know where one of their neighbors, 58-year-old Bonnie Adhemy, was.
Deputies used a fire extinguisher to break a window to get into Adhemy’s apartment. Once inside, they found the woman, who suffers from an unknown medical issue and was not able to walk out, carrying her to safety.
