A diver lost an arm after coming in contact with a boat Thursday in the waters off Palm Beach County.
WPTV reported that the incident occurred at Palm Beach island near Root Trail.
A witness told the station that a boat went over a group of divers.
The Coast Guard said a good Samaritan located a severed arm, which was transferred to shore.
The diver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
