Police have arrested a man who they say shot and killed another man during what's believed to be a robbery attempt in North Miami Beach Tuesday morning.
Curtis Young, 23, is facing charges including second-degree murder and using a firearm while committing a felony, according to a North Miami Beach Police arrest report.
According to the report, the victim was sitting in his truck waiting to go to work in the 2000 block of Northeast 163rd Street when the shooting happened around 6 a.m.
A witness saw the suspect approach the truck, pull out a handgun and point it at the victim, the report said. The suspect then opened fire four times, killing the man in his truck, the report said.
When Young was arrested in another case that same day, a firearm was recovered near where he was taken into custody, the report said.
Despite matching the description of the gunman in the fatal shooting, Young denied knowing anything about it and agreed to provide DNA swabs to "clear his name," the report said.

The firearm, DNA swabs and bullet casings recovered from the shooting scene were submitted to a crime lab, which discovered Young's DNA on the firearm and the bullet casings matched the firearm, the report said.
When investigators questioned Young again on Thursday, he admitted to his involvement in the shooting, the report said.
Young was being held without bond Friday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
"This case was solved by great police work and a team effort involving multiple agencies," police said in a statement Friday.
