It was a disturbing scene in Miami after neighbors found dozens of mutilated ducks stuffed in bags and dumped in Biscayne Bay.
It happened in the Edgewater neighborhood at an inlet towards the end of 29th Street.
It was an unfortunate discovery made Tuesday evening by neighbor Jeronimo Tani, "I clean this area every other week."
At this point, there's nothing he or anyone can do, "The wild ducks seemed to have been killed by someone. I don't know if they're from here."
It's possible the ducks could have floated in, but Jeronimo fears what has happened is: this neighborhood is exploding with construction and the ducks in this case are being forced out one way or another.
In fact, he said lately he's seeing fewer around the area, "I saw a few yesterday and there were a lot and that's why they're probably from here."
It's estimated that 20 to 25 ducks were thrown in bags into the inlet. In addition, there were also several chickens stuffed in the bags as well.
Local
Neighbors hope, with all the new construction, the animals in the area are thought of and never disappear.
